Women of Color Equity Design Institute Curriculum Design Session 

  • Purpose of This Memorandum 

This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) outlines the agreement among the partners listed below. Partners are committed to implementing a day-long curriculum design session that includes the following features: 

  • Along with the Lead Partner (Zora’s House), engage in an in-person, seven-hour design session which will establish the foundational components of the Women of Color Equity Design Institute Community Expert Curriculum/Learning Experience.   
  • Term 

This MOA shall be in effect from October 3, 2022, and shall end on  November 11, 2022. This MOA may be terminated prior to the effective end date upon the full written approval of all the partners.  

  • Partners 

List the names of each institutional and consulting partner participating in the design session: 

Zora’s House (WCEO, Lead); Michelina Ferrara (Session Facilitator); Women’s Fund of Central Ohio (WCEDI, Partner); Lara Weeks (WCEDI, Partner); equityXdesign (Consultant); Tenn Global (Consultant) 

  • Common Roles & Expectations of All Partners  

Prior to the design session, partners agree to: 

  1. Read through all preparatory materials provided by the facilitator (no more than 2-3 hours of prep materials will be provided).
  2. Communicate consistently through e-mail and phone calls, reading all relevant emails, listening to voice mail messages, and responding in a timely manner. 

During the design session, partners agree to: 

  1. Bring their full expertise and knowledge to the table, work together to solve problems, make decisions, and support all the overarching goals of the session.
  2. Engage in professional and value-aligned behavior that contributes to a structured, safe, culturally responsive learning environment. 
  3. Attend the full one-day session in its entirety. 

Following the design session, partners agree to: 

  1. Complete any agreed-upon follow-up items or correspondence no later than November 11, 2022.
  • Compensation 

As lead partner, Zora’s House agrees to pay $2500 to Tenn Global and to reimburse all reasonable travel costs.  Upon completion of the one-day session on Nov 1, 2022, Tenn Global will submit an invoice to Zora’s House in the amount of $2500 + travel expenses (including receipts), to be paid within 14 days of receipt of the invoice.
